Psychreative: The Aesthetics of a Philosophical Journey and the Khora Project

Abstract: In this presentation Layne will discuss the development of an innovative platform
and algorithm designed to assist users in their personal philosophical journeys. Named after
the Platonic principle of movement and creation, Khora guides each individual to explore
ideas and concepts in a variety of different ways. At Palinode we know that not everyone
understands meaning through scholarly texts or lectures. Rather, Khora hopes to create a
space where the arts and the philosophical life are reunited.

Biography: Danielle A. Layne, Professor of Philosophy at Gonzaga University, has
published widely on Plato and the Platonic tradition, including the recent “Divine Names and
the Mystery of Diotima” in the Routledge Companion to Women in Ancient Philosophy
(2024). Founder of Palinode Productions, a Deep Learning Philosophy Platform, Layne
eagerly embraces novel approaches to the study of antiquity that reanimate and vivify the
uniqueness of the Platonic tradition.
