“ARE WE THE LAST?”, by Jeremy Gadd

ARE WE THE LAST?

Is the current generation of Homo Sapiens -
from the Latin, ’Wise Man' - the last?
Are the existing members of humanity,
like Neanderthals and Denisovans,
now facing extinction? Will gene-editing
technology, bionic engineering, enhanced
resistance to disease and a subsequent
increase in life expectancy lead to
the mega-rich re-designing themselves
and their children and, in the process,
creating an underclass of unimproved
humans - drones to drive the hive.
Will the future ‘super humans’ even
remember what it was to be human?
